The Professional Association of Treatment Homes (PATH) was recently awarded a five year federal grant from the Children’s Bureau. The grant funding will be used to recruit adoptive parents in rural Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin communities and match them to children and youth with special needs currently awaiting permanent homes. The project's objectives include a particular

emphasison outreach to Native American communities. REACH’s ultimate goal is to increase rural adoptions in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin by 50 percent over the next five years.

The REACH project is managed by PATH, which has been established and trusted in the foster care community for more than 30 years and in the adoptive community for more than 10 years. Every day, PATH serves nearly 800 children in foster care, and provides 250 children and their families with adoption and family preservation services. PATH is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is a member of Child Welfare League of America.
